On four nights of the week, there
is an evening show and dinner and typically, 300-400
children come along. The aim of the evening is
to give a fun hour of the day, where the children
can relax with their friends and perform for each
other. There are games, karaoke, dance competitions
and performances and singing together. No two
nights are the same and it is the children who
devise the show.
After the show, food and drink
are served. All the food is prepared in the kitchen
and Yelva Garay aims to make the meals as balanced
and nutritious as possible. Having done this for
three years without missing an evening, Yelva
is an experienced cook for whom preparing 300
meals is not problem.
In addition, on Tuesdays and Fridays
lunch is served for about 100 senior citizens.
Each year, 60,000 meals are prepared
and since March 2001, Carita Feliz has served
200,000 meals. |
