Inauguration party of the concepcion Island
On April first an inauguration party was realized on concepcion island after many months of construction Mr Kolind decided to inaugurates it so he realized a party where he invited to his friends and the teaching body and administration of Carita Feliz school. All the teaching body of the school gathered after they havened to the part. Then to the island where Mr. Kolind received the cordially to all the guests, all of them tour to the island, there were drinks, foods, dance, game for all the guests Mr. Kolind said some thank words to all the people who made this possible, he also thanked to the teaching body of Carita Feliz for its work in the center.

Easter’s Vacations
Eaester is a religios event which is held every year, some people use it to think over, other use it to go to watering places in this week the children didn’t attend class, but the other activities were realized normally like: lunch for old people, children’s dinner and nutrition program.[Back to top]

New program Study – Work
This is a program for young with desire of entering to university and crowns a career. The profile of this program is that the young returns to the Center the help that this one give to many children, the young gets guarantee of a half scholarship in the university at the same time the young has to help with a social job to the Center, helping in the different classes and part-time activities.

Actually there are two young’s that come in to the program and they receive this advantages and they support this Center, one is studying psychology and help in Spanish class, the other one is studying system engineering and help at Casa Estudio.

Miss Carita Feliz Election
Miss Carita Feliz competitions was on march 6th 2006 with the participation of 13 candidates in different category, two candidates for Miss Chiquitita, six for miss little princess and seven candidates for Miss Carita Feliz, for the election several presentation in fantsy suit, on march Thursday 9 th he presentation was in sport suit and on march Friday 10th was the voting to choose the winner and the winners were: Miss chiquitita Leydi Moreira, Miss Little princess is the little girl Joselyn Flores and Miss Carita Feliz is the young Veronica Balladares.

The children visited Concepcion Island.
In the beautiful city of Granada there is a beautiful lake which counts with little islands which are know as “Granada’s Islets”, are about 365 islets, Mr Kolind got an island in which a house is being built place where Mr Kolind received Illustrious people from Denmark with 300 children who were chosen between the participants and the most active student from Carita Feliz school. The children were transported from the school to a port then a boat with lifeboats and all the necessary security. Three pretty girls welcomed when we got to the islet, the children sang with a lot of energy many artistic presentations were done, too. This was on March Saturday 11th 2006. Three Visiting to Carita Feliz.
This moth has been one of the most visited, we counted with James Ranking of the group IBS from Texas who sponsored 32 children he was in study-home of Carita Feliz and shored with the children, he knew a little about Nicargua, it was the first time that he visited us, we hope he like it.

We also had the pleasure of receiving Mrs Jorn and Strid they sponsor 33 children so they can study. They visited the Center and they visited the children’s family to see their need and how they can help.

We also counted with the visit of Andreas Kolind his first visit in this year was received with opening arm for all the children. Although his visit was short, for us it was enough for him and for us, is was a good his presence in Carita Feliz School.[Back to top]

Start of Class
Carita Feliz opens its door in this lective year 2006 with registration of the different class this was done in the last week of January, it counted with a lot of children and about 576 children were registered in this first quarter. The class began on February 3er of this year, all the children attended very happy and excited with the vitality and energy that just they can get to their first day of class in Carita Feliz School.[Back to top]

Communication’s Department Opening
Carita Feliz is created thank to a man from Denmark, who visited Nicaragua and he saw the poverty that there is in this country, many hungry children, he helped disinterestedly and gave them meal, but he saw that was enough so he gave them education and health so they could live in the future with dignity. And now there are other people from Denmark and from other countries who help, and many other people want to help in this project. So this made necessary to open a communication area to help to know to people the activities which with their help we realize, the needs that exist they can help to these children who need of people which a good heart to improve and support their live.[Back to top]

Three news sponsored classes
In this moment there are 35 children studying thank to Niels from Denmark. One of the three groups of the new sponsored class. This group is formed by 22 children studying in elementary school, 12 in high school and one in the University, they will study this year.

Another sponsored class is the group of Jesper form Denmark, who gives help to 7 children which 6 of them are coursing their elementary school, and the other one is coursing the high school because of the help they will study this year too.

Among the new sponsored classes we have the group of IBS from Texas (USA) who help to 8 children in the elementary school and 14 in the high school in total there are 32 children who will study and improve their life this year.[Back to top]

Donations of sport equipment
In this month the baseball team was visited by Mr Reid Litwack where the children were practicing in a small stadium next to Carita Feliz and began a conversation with the baseball teacher of Carita Feliz “Pixe” who told him about the Center and the help that they give a little grain of sand and donated gloves and catcher equipment to the school which received happily.[Back to top]
